Conducted unmoderated usability testing to evaluate icon recognition and identify mismatches. Collaborated with other designers to redesign icons based on user feedback, ensuring better alignment with user expectations and application context.
Methods, Analysis, & Design Process
unmoderated usability session with 15 users involving a card-sorting task, where users matched 21 icons to applications while thinking aloud. Eleven users also completed a follow-up questionnaire to rate their confidence in their choices. The findings were visualized in a graph showing matching accuracy, enabling designers and product managers to easily identify poorly matched icons. Based on these insights, I worked closely with the design team to refine and update the icons.
